Q & A

QUESTION:

Gerry H. from Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada emails, “I just read that Nicole Kidman is no longer a producers darling that for the money they pay her , her movies don’t make enough money to meet her multi million dollar salary and the rest of the production costs. Will anyone take a chance on her again or have we seen the last of her.”

ANSWER:

Thank you Gerry for your email. You are correct in that her last pictures including “Fur” and "The Golden Compass” bombed. Now everyone is watching Nicole’s newest, “Australia” which is being touted as the new “Gone With the Wind”. If this one busts, then odds are that you won’t be seeing Nicole very often. But someone still has hope, so 20th Century Fox has contracted with Nicole to act as well as co produce their newest project called  "The Eighth Wonder". It’s all about an amazing archaeological find that causes a globe-spanning race. Producers of the new film state that their goal is “to create a movie that will be to "Raiders of the Lost Ark" what the "Bourne" movies are to James Bond movies: a character-driven, treasure-hunting thriller.”
